Continuous open-track lapping — not 20-minute HPDE sessions with long waits between.
Passenger Reference Laps
Ride in our race-prepped car to establish a real baseline for speed, g-forces, and the driving line.
In-Car Coaching
Real-time instruction from the passenger seat — vision, inputs, braking, throttle, and racecraft.
Data Review & Debrief
Post-session analysis of your lap times, sector splits, and driving inputs. Concrete takeaways for next time.
Car Setup Advice
Honest recommendations on brakes, tires, and suspension — based on where you are, not where Instagram thinks you should be.
Wed–Sun, 9 AM – 5 PM
Harris Hill Raceway is our home track — available Wednesday through Sunday. Other tracks scheduled at your request. We travel.
Who It's For
First-Timers
Never been on track? We build your foundation from scratch — vision, smooth inputs, understanding weight transfer, and building confidence safely. One session replaces months of self-taught trial and error.
Track Day Regulars
Plateaued on lap times? We identify the specific habits holding you back — late eyes, early throttle, tension in your hands — and give you targeted drills to break through.
Race Prep
Preparing for your first wheel-to-wheel race? We cover racecraft, situational awareness, passing etiquette, and race-pace consistency. We race ChampCar endurance — we know what race day demands.
The single most impactful thing students learn is that their own car is faster than they ever thought possible.
Invest in seat time. Invest in yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does driver coaching cost?
Half-day sessions are $500. This includes 4+ hours of open track time, one-on-one instruction, passenger reference laps in our race car, and a post-session debrief with data review.
Do I need my own car?
Yes — coaching sessions use your car. We ride along and coach from the passenger seat. Your car needs to pass a basic safety inspection (good brakes, no leaks, secure battery). We'll help you prep if needed.
Where do coaching sessions happen?
Primarily at Harris Hill Raceway in San Marcos, TX — 30 minutes south of Austin. We can also travel to coach at any track you have access to in Texas or surrounding states.
When are you available?
Wednesday through Sunday, 9 AM to 5 PM at Harris Hill Raceway. Other tracks are scheduled at your request — we'll travel to you.
What skill level do I need?
None. We coach complete beginners through experienced racers. Beginners get foundation-building (vision, inputs, car control). Experienced drivers get targeted feedback on specific corners, data analysis, and racecraft.
How is this different from free HPDE instruction?
HPDE instructors are volunteers who get you around safely in 20-30 minute sessions. Private coaching gives you 4+ hours of continuous track time, structured progression, passenger reference laps, and targeted skill development — not just orientation.
How many sessions do I need?
Most drivers need 2-3 sessions total. The goal is to make you an independent learner. After that, coaching shifts to casual debriefs and async data/video review.
What if it rains?
We coach rain or shine — rain is excellent for learning car control at lower speeds. But if you're uncomfortable, we'll reschedule at no cost. This is about you.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. Semi-private sessions split coaching time evenly between two drivers. Your guest pays for their own track time. Works best when both drivers are at a similar skill level.
What should I do to my car before a session?
Flush brake fluid with high-temp fluid ($30-40 DIY). If budget allows, upgrade to track-oriented pads like Hawk HP+. Do NOT buy sticky tires — 300-600 treadwear tires help you learn car control better.
How fast will I get?
New drivers typically find 20-30 seconds within a few sessions. Experienced drivers chasing 1-2 seconds benefit from targeted, corner-specific feedback. Either way, coaching creates understanding — speed follows.
